About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architect to lead the technical design and delivery of scalable, high-performance eCommerce solutions. This is a fully remote role open to candidates located anywhere in South America. You’ll be responsible for overseeing SFCC implementations from architecture through deployment, ensuring technical quality and alignment with business goals across complex B2C commerce platforms.

You’ll work closely with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to guide architecture decisions, enforce standards, and lead solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and oversee technical architecture for SFCC implementations, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Provide leadership on best practices in SFRA, custom cartridge development, and integration with third-party platforms (e.g., OMS, ERP, payment gateways, CMS).
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and documentation.
• Guide development teams during coding, testing, and deployment cycles.
• Review code and provide mentorship to developers to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical decision-making with cross-functional teams.
• Lead troubleshooting and performance optimization for live SFCC environments.
• Stay current on SFCC platform updates and roadmap to proactively suggest improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in eCommerce solution development, with 3+ years specifically in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C).
• Expertise in SFCC architecture, data modeling, and API integrations.
• Strong command of JavaScript, Node.js, and the Salesforce Reference Architecture (SFRA).
• Hands-on experience integrating with external systems (ERP, CRM, payment providers, analytics).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment tools, and environment management in SFCC.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for both business and developer audiences.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, distributed team.

Preferred Skills

• Salesforce certifications (B2C Commerce Architect, B2C Developer)
• Experience working with headless commerce architectures or PWA front-ends
• Familiarity with cloud hosting, CDN, and performance monitoring tools
• Experience leading offshore/onshore development teams
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
