My prestigious client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Cloud to lead the organization's cloud computing initiatives. As the Head of Cloud, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the company's cloud strategy, governance, stakeholder management, performance measurement, operations, and cloud architecture. Your expertise in cloud technologies and leadership skills will be critical in driving the successful adoption and management of cloud services. Responsibilities: Strategy:
  • Define the company's cloud strategic directions to align with the overall vision and goals.
  • Review and update the cloud strategy based on performance evaluation and identifying new opportunities.
Governance:
  • Establish cloud forums to facilitate regular communication and collaboration between stakeholders.
  • Design and implement cloud reporting structures to streamline decision-making and approvals.
  • Develop and maintain cloud financial policies to guide budget decisions related to cloud services.
  • Design and enforce cloud security frameworks and policies to ensure a secure cloud environment.
  • Stakeholders:
  • Identify key stakeholders involved in cloud activities, initiatives, and IT divisions both internally and externally.
  • Manage relationships with cloud vendors and partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals and policies.
  • Oversee workforce upskilling and knowledge transfer through cloud training and knowledge sharing.
  • Supervise communications from the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) to keep resources informed about cloud-related updates.
Balanced Scorecard & Metrics:
  • Define and analyze cloud KPIs and metrics to monitor and assess the performance of cloud activities and usage.
  • Develop cloud performance dashboards for easy visualization and decision-making.
  • Monitor cloud usage trends to ensure alignment with business needs and optimize costs.
Operations:
  • Identify and prioritize key cloud initiatives to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate cloud project management, including migration processes.
  • Supervise new cloud implementation projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage cloud capacity analysis and adapt services to meet business requirements.
  • Oversee cloud-related incident management to minimize disruptions and maintain operational quality.
  • Ensure cloud security and compliance policies comply with industry best practices and regulations.
Architecture:
  • Manage and execute the company's cloud migration strategy and adoption frameworks.
  • Select appropriate cloud service models and providers for application and data workloads.
  • Provide technical consulting expertise for cloud solutions and architecture.
  • Oversee cloud system planning, management, design, and monitoring.
  • Design and implement the Cloud Landing Zone and target reference architecture model.
Qualification / Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (required) and Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant Engineering/Business field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, with at least 5 years in cloud technology management and adoption, including IaaS, DCaaS, and/or SAP HANA migration.
  • In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in cloud management, planning, and execution.
  • Cloud-related professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure, Google, AWS, and Cloud Security are desirable.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Excellent people management, persuasion, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and communicate with a diverse workforce.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to various stakeholders.
